The weak internet cut out every ten minutes on every floor, and there were people around the building. Half the property seemed empty, with the two ground floors looking like a wrecked old factory. From outside it has the look of a fancy high-rise, but inside it felt like it was rotting. The whole building had a strong toilet smell, too. The room hadn't been cleaned at all when we arrived. We had to wash the dishes and clean the toilet and everything else ourselves. The bathroom had no window or air exchanger, and it was full of mold. We paid 5 million rupees a month for the place. For that money, you could rent a whole house on the nearby streets, or get a hotel room. There were power cuts every few days. Residents gathered in the garage to charge devices, and people got stuck in the elevator for hours. The staff would lie around in the basement smoking and on their phones. They didn't help when asked, but wanted tips. When I arrived, they sent me with all my luggage to the wrong floors three times, then asked for money to take me to the place I'd booked. This was a terrible experience in Medan. It's filthy, with dirt, mold, cockroaches and other insects in every corner. Please don't waste your time, energy or health here. Avoid Mansyur Residence and get a hotel for the same price.

The place was clean and comfortable, and its location near the city center worked well.

The host, Reza, accused us in messages of lying and just not wanting to pay. That was really rude. I hadn't complained about him until then because I thought the facilities were poor and maybe he was simply unfamiliar with the business, since Indonesia is still quite undeveloped. If he keeps handling problems this way instead of learning from them, his business could eventually suffer. Other Airbnb listings at this price or less provide toilet paper, fresh towels, weekly cleaning, and quick attendance with an apology when something goes wrong. We booked this Airbnb for about a month, and the host charged us over 300€, far above local expenses, so I expected a good environment. Instead, the internet cut out every ten minutes, hot water ran out after five, and the electricity sometimes went off. We told the host and tried to speak nicely until we couldn't take it anymore. My work meetings were disrupted twice, and we couldn't charge devices for two days, so we booked another hotel. A four-star hotel here cost almost as much as one night at this place. Airbnb reviewed the situation and refunded us. If you're considering staying here through Airbnb, think it over carefully.

The apartment's water has been black and very dirty every week since I moved in. Management keeps saying they'll improve it, but I haven't seen any change. This water could make people sick. Such a problematic place!
