I was told sahur would be ready at 03:00 WIB, but when I went down at 03:14, the dining area was still dark and they said I was too early. The AC in my room didn’t work. At first, they said I didn’t know how to use it. Hours later it was still very hot. A technician changed the capacitor, with no improvement, and then they said the evaporator was dirty and I had to pay to have it cleaned. I paid, but the AC still wasn’t fixed. Nobody offered to move me to another room, which seemed like the basic thing to do. The staff’s response felt dismissive and unhelpful, and the room’s basic comfort wasn’t taken care of.

The rooms are cozy and fairly standard. Swiss-Bistro serves a good Indonesian breakfast alongside familiar Continental options. In-room dining is available for limited hours and takes cash or credit. Swiss-Bellinn Gajah Mada Medan is one of the Swiss-Belhotel sub-brands in the Medan area, on Jalan Gajah Mada beside Gajah Mada Park. You can get some green space there during the day, and street food at night. Muslim travellers can pray at the park’s surau or use the musolla in the lobby. For late-night snacks, there are 24-hour Indomaret and AlfaMart across the street, just one crossing away. Good value and a good stay. It may be worth trying their official Swiss-Belexecutive for room and dining deals.

I can see medan city from the bedroom window, and the room itself is very comfortable. The location is good too, and I really like how friendly the service is. I hope swiss bellin can build another hotel in the city because I want to see so much building in medan. Hope you can get better swiss bellin.

The location is a bit far from the city, but my room was nice and clean. I tried the gym and liked it, and the gym staff were friendly. Doni at reception was helpful and printed something for me. Thanks.
