We enjoyed our stay, especially with the swimming pool and direct river access where we happily played. Sitting in the rocking chair on the terrace at sunset had a grandma’s house feel. The location is near the exit toll, so we avoided the traffic, and they can serve affordable main courses if you haven’t brought food. At first, the neglected-looking front made us think the hotel was no longer operating. We booked a standard room above the office, then asked to switch to a tripple room by the pool for an extra cost. It was spacious, but the mattress badly needs replacing. Some room features and facilities didn’t work properly, which gave us extra goosebumps.

The neighborhood is really quiet, with the river and birds to listen to. It’s not as cold as higher puncak, but cool enough for us. Service was good, though the furniture is old and rusty, and parking is limited. The hotel is a little hidden off the main street, and the road there is damaged, with small rocks and no asphalt.

The restaurant was good, especially the Indonesian lunch, which I loved. You're in Indonesia, so no boring cheese sandwiches or chocolat sprinkles. At night the bar-restaurant was lively, with lots of friendly locals too. I had a great stay in a big, lovely room with a great view. From the balcony, you can watch people working the sawa's.

The food was quite good, and some rooms near the river have a soothing sound from the water. It’s a nice atmosphere with good views, but bring your own towel. The place is away from the main road, and since it’s not very high in altitude, it can be a bit warm.

A simple place to stay and meet, set by a river with a lovely garden and nice views. The parrots they keep are clever and cute. Internet stability could be better, and the hot shower only works from time to time.
