Sunsets at Sumbul

We stayed here as a family for a few days in a lovely, comfortable bungalow, and breakfast was nice too. The host was super friendly. If you love sourdough and brioche, this is the place, the owner bakes fresh bread. I was lucky enough that she let me visit her bakery kitchen on the third floor. Very happy with our stay.

Breakfast in the main house had a real at-home feel, and Rafi makes beautiful bread in the bakery there. Our bungalow was amazing and spotlessly clean. Rafi and Brad are wonderful hosts, and their lovely family has three children. The place is right on the beach, so I’d recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area. You won’t be disappointed.

We stopped for a night while driving around Bali. Rice fields surround the bungalow, and the ocean is just a stone’s throw away. It was clean and quiet, and the bungalow itself was great. Our host made us a delicious breakfast in the morning. There’s also a lovely cafe along the little road leading to the bungalow.

We’d come back to Bali just to see Rafy and her family again. They’re the nicest hosts, the breakfast was awesome, and the place felt so warm and homey. It was one of the best parts of our trip, thanks again for such a lovely time. See you soon. The location was great too, peaceful and right beside the beach, with surf spots next door. There’s a lovely cafe and a great restaurant within walking distance. Our room was very clean and well equipped, with a comfortable bed where we could fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.
