Dhyanapura City Hotel

The outside looks nice, but from the start our stay was a disaster. The booking was completely disorganized, and after arriving late and exhausted, we waited ages for rooms. Once we finally got the keys, we found out the rooms were in a run-down annex next door, not the main building. They felt neglected and cheap, with bathrooms that smelled of foul water and no charging sockets at all. For what we paid, it was a complete rip-off and the worst accommodation I’ve stayed in. Those glowing reviews seemed suspicious, and perhaps we weren’t even in the same building everyone else praised. Never again. Save your money and go elsewhere.

It wasn’t too crowded, and the room was kept tidy and organized. The air conditioner gets quite cold.

We liked the room, and the staff were nice and helpful. We also had hot water, a good AC unit, and a pleasant view across the rice fields, away from the road. Getting here means driving repeatedly along a very busy street, so bear that in mind if you’re new to riding a scooter. There isn’t much around to walk to, including places to buy food. I’d skip the breakfast option if you book, the choices were very limited and they didn’t have most things on the menu. Maybe it was just that week. The location and food made the stay only OK.

Rooms start at IDR 250k a night without breakfast at this city hotel. It’s nicely located by a rice field, with views of Bali’s mountains, and the swimming pool is right in front of regency hospital.
