We arrived late, but the host welcomed us warmly. Food at the homestay was affordable, 20k per meal with a drink. With the host's help, we saw the sunrise and another place at Mt Bromo, and they arranged everything for us, including the Jeep. The four-bedroom house fit my whole family, seven adults and three kids. I really liked it and would definitely stay again if I come back. I recommend this family-friendly homestay.

The place itself was lovely: roomy, clean, with comfy beds, warm blankets, and a very hot shower, much appreciated in the cold nights. But what really made our stay was Debby. Our motorcycle broke down in the crater after dark, and we were worried the trip was going to end badly. We found Widodaren guesthouse on Google Maps, and Debby managed to get a jeep driver to tow the bike up from the crater at night. The next day, he kindly offered us a volcano trip so we wouldn't lose the day, while he dealt with the mechanic and a spare part that had to be ordered from a nearby town. There were four of us, and the guesthouse accommodated us easily. Debby’s kindness and hospitality rescued our trip. Thanks again, Debby!

We could enjoy the views nearby during our stay, and Bawangan Restaurant is close by. The landlord was really nice, the facilities were good, and this was the best place for us to stay in Bromo.
