Ayodya Resort Bali

The setting is peaceful and very nice, and all the staff are polite. Sulastri, our restaurant server, was especially friendly and helpful. Laundry was great too, though at night one staff member didn't know the process and asked me to call back the next day. Each evening, staff checked whether we needed anything, even though our privacy light was on. The food was okay, but the sushi and hot dishes could be better. The crepes and French toast were good. Sumita, who I think is in charge of food and services, was incredibly kind to our two 85-year-old friends. He helped them find the fishing lures they wanted, walked them to their rooms, and gave all of us warm welcoming hugs. His cheerful spirit made our day.

The smiling staff are the best part, always ready to help. Getting around is easy, and you can get towels and service wherever you are. The location feels safe, and the beach access is the best I've experienced. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, and the restaurants are very good without being too expensive. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with streaming on the TVs, though you probably won't need to watch much. The pools are clean. It would be good if people kept children in the family pool instead of the adults' pool. 10/10, would recommend!

We spent 10 nights at Ayodya, and even with the resort's huge size, we always found a sun lounger by one of the pools. The grounds are lush and beautifully kept, with plenty of places to sit, relax, and eat. The family pool is enormous, and the adults-only pool was a nice surprise. The beach is private and the water pristine. There isn't a swim-up bar, but each umbrella has a call button for food and drinks. The resort has a genuinely Balinese feel and enormous rooms, comfortable beds, a good-sized bathroom, and a lovely balcony. The staff were always smiling and couldn't do enough to make our stay feel perfect. Restaurants were delicious and reasonably priced, and the breakfast buffet was the best I've ever had, with everything you could ask for. There are lots of daily activities to try, including yoga, aqua aerobics, and zumba, all fantastic. Try the palm reading or, even better, the full-day wellness and culture experience. Bali Collection is under a 10-minute walk away, with inexpensive restaurants and shopping. We went to the Italian Restaurant twice because it was so good, and the water there is purified. Just outside Nusa Dua's gated community there's a strip of shops and very cheap massages. Don't hesitate to book, you'll love it!

The kids' pool area was super fun, especially the section with slides, and I loved the bean bags. My two little girls, both under six, and I had a wonderful stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the buffet breakfast was amazing, with good vegan choices for me most days. Sulastri was good too. The rooms were wonderful apart from the bathrooms, which could use an upgrade. The kids club also needs some work: the vibe felt weird, and the educators didn't engage my two enough to keep them there.
