Bila Penida Resort & Farm

Bila Penida Resort and Farm is tucked away in the middle of the island, a quiet little sanctuary surrounded by nature. The staff were attentive and kind, and we felt very well looked after. They offer plenty of ways to arrange day trips or drivers to get around and see things. The food was exceptional too. Get the grilled tuna steak, you won’t regret it!

Being surrounded by jungle and away from everything made for such a calming, restorative stay. The staff were lovely, and the food was sublime. The one thing I wouldn’t recommend is the massage.

The service was amazing, and we ended up booking another three nights later in the week. We arrived late at night to a fresh welcome drink and staff ready to greet us, then got shown to our rooms before taking a night swim with the kids. The rooms were super clean and added a bit of luxury to our island stay. At breakfast, staff fussed over us, bringing fresh fruit and yummy pancakes. Our stay was epic!

We were very pleased with dinner at the restaurant, and breakfast was generous and tasty. The location is beautiful and the staff extremely friendly. Our four nights were split between a smaller bungalow for the first two and a two-story one for the next two. The accommodation itself was less pleasant: there were lots of mosquitoes, the doors didn’t shut properly, and we could hear all the outside noise. The bathroom was a major downside. It was dirty, smelled bad, and had lots of snails inside. The place has great potential, but needs better upkeep and cleanliness.
