Casa Luna Penida

The host was so welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our visit. Casa Luna Penida is peaceful and cozy, beautifully cared for, and the view is stunning. It made every moment feel a bit special. We could slow down and relax in the Balinese atmosphere, and we'd happily come back.

A really special place. The pictures don't capture the impact of walking in and seeing the pool and view for yourself. It was quiet and private, just what we needed. Bring mosquito spray for the evenings, though. It's jungle country, and mosquitoes are part of Nusa Penida in general, not something specific to the villa. I'd return in a heartbeat.

The view was gorgeous, and the staff were so, so kind and helpful. We loved every minute in this super cute Airbnb, everything felt dreamy! I also had the best time taking pictures there hihihi 🥰 We'll definitely be back.

The view toward the beach is lovely, and the villa is large, with two bedrooms, a big swimming pool, a spacious living area, and a kitchen stocked with everything. It's a modern build, but there was no breakfast, menu, or restaurant. The bigger problem was the insects. Ants and centipedes were everywhere, in the hundreds, and there were lots of dead centipedes on the pool floor. I've stayed in three open bamboo villas in Ubud, Semarapura jungle, and Sideman rice terrace, where insects stayed in the gardens rather than the living areas. I know this is a wild area, but the inside of a villa should be free of ants. Insecticide should be used inside the living area, while the ants and centipedes stay in the garden. It should feel like a luxury villa, not a very wild jungle. At $320, it wasn't worth the price.
