There’s a peaceful, private garden setting here, and the host was friendly and helpful. The room was simple but very clean, with a comfortable bed. You can hire a motor scooter at the property, and breakfast is available. A good pick for travelers watching their budget.

A scooter is useful here since the nearby sights, including Crystal bay and kelingking cliff/beach, are too far to walk to. You can rent one for 75 000 IDR for the day, and one of the owners even showed me how to ride. The couple running the place were welcoming and clearly looked after it. They didn’t charge extra for the room, and it was clean, with fresh-looking beds. I checked carefully and saw no sign of bedbugs. Towels are provided. There’s no hot water, but in the heat I didn’t mind. Laundry costs 2000 per clothing item. Breakfast is served from 7.30 to 10.00, with banana pancakes or an omelette, plus coffee or tea. It’s basic but good. Clean, central and budget friendly.

The spot is peaceful and relaxed, and breakfast, though simple, was tasty. My partner and I especially liked the service. Everyone was lovely, always smiling, and kept trying to help despite the language barrier, which made our stay feel special. There isn’t much close by apart from crystal beach, which we didn’t enjoy, but renting a scooter helps.

The garden was lovely and well looked after, and our large room was very nice and perfectly clean. We spent four nights here, and Ketut and his family welcomed us warmly, gave us advice during the stay and took us to the harbour when it was time for our boat. The guesthouse is near Crystal bay, with some good warungs for lunch or dinner nearby. Special thanks to Oregano. Breakfast is included, with coffee or tea and a choice of banana pancake or omelet. We’d definitely recommend staying here while visiting Nusa Penida 😊
