This was the worst of the three hotels I stayed at in Nusa Penida. At $145 a night, I’m fine with an old building, but I expect a fresh towel each day. The room was smaller than others at a similar price, and the paid a la carte breakfast was very limited and disappointing. There was no bath mat, hand towel, or floor slippers. The room felt bare, and the sunbed had stains. It’s advertised for sunset, but the building next door blocks the 180 view. There’s not much around the location, and the in-house taxi was the most expensive option, so we called outside taxis instead. Don’t bother staying here. Go to Semabu Hill Hotel for better service, two great infinity pools, and a better buffet breakfast.

The ocean view from the room was great, but the room itself was old, run down, and not clean. The sheets and pillowcases had lots of stains, there was no hand towel or pool towel, and each person got only one towel per day for both bathing and the pool. The shower’s hot water ran out quickly, and without a remote the TV was useless. They left fruit in the room on the first day, but the Salak fruit was moldy. Breakfast was well below average. I really liked Indonesian food during the trip, but couldn’t enjoy it here. I don’t understand the 4-star rating on Google Maps. I’d give it 2 stars.

The view was good, but getting to the property was difficult. None of the rooms has a lock on the balcony door, and I couldn’t sleep for worrying about what or who might come in from outside. There were lots of stains on the bed and towels. Service was really poor, with just one receptionist on duty who worked very slowly. I think Penida has much better places at about the same price.

The views are stunning, and this is an amazing resort. The staff are polite and the service is exceptional. Dea was especially prompt and helpful. Perfect!

We had a brilliant stay and wished we could have stayed longer. The sea views are beautiful, especially from a suite with its balcony and bath. The staff were really kind, and there’s a restaurant serving all meals, room service, a nice pool, and bikes for hire. Our room and shower were nice, with warm water and good pressure. It felt like great value. We’d stayed at another island hotel for the same price, and it was awful by comparison. I’d definitely recommend this place over other Nusa Penida options. A few stains on the bed were the main downside, and changing it would make the place nearly perfect. Although it’s on the coast, the roads mean most sights take a long drive because you have to go inland first. The road up to the hotel is also in bad shape, with lots of potholes. Those are small things to know about, but they didn’t take away from a great stay.
