OYO 882 Puri Gevana Guest House

The view is the standout here, and the breakfast is simple but tasty, though spicy. I got a great rate, just USD 11 on Christmas day during the holiday season. The guest house looks modern, with a comfortable bed and nice-looking furniture. I stayed somewhere else in Padangpanjang last year; if I’d known about this place, I would have chosen it, hands down. My room had a pretty bad smell from the toilet, especially the closet. If you run into the same thing, closing the toilet lid and door may help. The other issue is the noise, since it’s right by a busy intercity road that runs 24 hours. Bring earplugs or earphones to cut down on the street sound. Still, the good points outweigh the bad ones. It’s a great place to stay, and I’d give it 4.8 out of 5 if I could.
