We had a room for three adults with one single bed and one queen bed. It was on the third floor with no windows, though right across from it was a large living area with windows. That was the only thing we missed, and it didn’t bother us much. The hotel is old and sits on the main road. It wasn’t our first choice, but we ended up liking it because it was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The basics were there and worked: the bed was okay, sheets and towels were clean and in good condition, the toilet was clean, the water was fresh, the AC was cool, and the Wi-Fi was fast. Breakfast the next morning was basic but good and tasty. Check-in was quick, and there was parking available.

There are several fast food places nearby, including Pizza Hut and MacDonalds, and it’s a short walk to the water. This is a budget hotel with an open feel that lets in the nice weather. It’s a very Muslim hotel, with a sign at reception saying unmarried couples can’t stay. A mosque right next door plays prayers and talks late into the night on most nights. The higher floors are cheaper. I skipped breakfast because I was too worried about what they might serve.

The staff were really helpful, and the hotel was clean and comfortable in a strategic location. One nice thing is that there’s no charge for early check-in. We often arrive in Padang around 5:00 in the morning, so that helped. Check-out is at 12:00 PM, though you can ask for 1 PM if you need it. Thanks, and enjoy your time in Padang.
