Bamboo has a Balinese feel and is nicely decorated, with friendly staff. We stayed two nights in a private room for three and enjoyed the breakfast. It’s close to the Padang Bai ferry terminal and traditional market, with local restaurants and downtown nearby. The hostel can arrange a private driver if needed, and motorcycle rental is close by. There’s a very small beach a short walk uphill behind the hostel, and the famous blue lagoon is a 45-minute walk away.

We stayed at Bamboo Paradise for two nights before going to the Gilis, and it felt like a proper home away from home. The rooms are fantastic, and the staff are great. We had a really good chat with the very knowledgeable owner too. Breakfast is a highlight, included in the price and great value. There are adorable cats and dogs around as well. What more could you ask for?

Bamboo Paradise is pet friendly, and the team made everything easy from the moment we arrived. It’s a great spot, just a short stroll from the harbor and within walking distance of Bias Tugel beach and local shops. Our room was clean and comfortable, with some thoughtful touches. Breakfast was a highlight. Definitely recommend it.

I came here while completing my open water course, then ended up extending my stay. The rooms are beautiful, breakfast was amazing, and the staff were exceptional. It’s conveniently right next to the harbor and diving schools. I really appreciated my time here and would stay again.

For a cheap one-night stay before the boat to the Gilis, this place does the job. The staff are really friendly, though it’s not especially luxurious and the cleanliness could be better.
