The inner courtyard was a nice place to unwind, and the service was friendly. Rooms were clean, with air-conditioning and hot water, and the bed was firm but comfortable. You can hear people talking in nearby rooms, and there was construction during the day, though not at night.

It’s close to the harbour and the local food, with the area’s amenities all an easy walk away. There’s a balcony and tables outside the rooms, nice for breakfast or just hanging out, and they provide a simple breakfast too. The place is quaint and affordable, and staff were friendly and funny, though the owners and staff don’t speak much English. My bed was lumpy and creaked whenever I moved, so not ideal for bed gymnastics. The upstairs rooms also felt a bit precarious, with dim lighting and steep wooden stairs.

We only stayed one night before going to Gili T, and the heat made it a rough night. Our room had just a fan, even though the online photos show air conditioning. Some rooms may have AC, but there was no way to request one. It was hotter inside than outside, even overnight, and they didn’t have an extra fan when we asked for one near the bed. At this price, finding an air-conditioned room should be easy. I really can’t overstate how hot it got, we were sweating just lying still.

A good, simple option if you’re catching a morning boat from Padang Bai to the Gili Islands or Lombok. It’s a short walk to the harbour, and breakfast was good. The rooms were decent and had nice AC, though the beds are on two levels, with some upstairs. We also booked an airport pickup through them, which cost much less than Grab or other shuttle companies.
