We loved it there and already miss our lovely hosts. They were full of warmth and wisdom, and gave us great tips for things to do around the area and Central Kalimantan. They also run their own tours, with lots of options on the website. Bukit Raya Guesthouse feels like a little rainforest, with rooms in the house or a treehouse. The architecture is wonderful, and the natural pool was beautiful and refreshingly cool. Breakfast was amazing too. It really felt like a complete package. Thank you, Bukit Raya Guesthouse!

We loved the homemade bread and jam at breakfast, and Grace and the other cats were adorable, chubby little residents. My wife and I felt so comfortable here that we didn't want to leave. It's peaceful, cool, and relaxing, and Rijal, Ibu, and Pak Thomas made us feel like family. We're lucky to have met them. We miss the atmosphere already and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Rizal arranged a wonderful trip for us to see orangutang, and we saw lots of them in their natural habitat. The food was delicious, and the homestay was beautiful. Thomas, Beatrix, Rizal, and all the staff are such lovely people. Everything at Butik Raya Guest House was so perfect. We highly recommend booking here.

The downstairs Room 2 is quite small because of the large bed. The bathroom has both a Western shower and a mandi. Breakfast was top class, and there's a pleasant seating area in the garden. The hosts are very friendly.

The rooms are cosy and comfortable, with little spots to read, bathe, or enjoy the nature around the house. It's quiet and beautiful, though centrally located, and the hosts and staff are attentive and really friendly. Breakfast is good quality, and the atmosphere feels quiet and familiar. This is my favourite place to stay in Palagkaraya when I want to relax and have a lovely time.
