OYO 3872 Wisma Family

The third floor was stuffy and so dusty it seemed like it had never been cleaned. My room was dirty and uncomfortable, the TV was off, and the windows rattled loudly while I slept. The AC wasn’t very clean either. At 150,000 Rupiah a night, it felt expensive for a place that doesn’t seem maintained. Luckily I only stayed one night. This is the first accommodation I’ve come across that I wouldn’t recommend.

I booked through Agoda and planned to pay at check-in, but they told me they weren’t partnered with it. If that’s true, they should take the listing down. Room prices also vary, especially around New Year’s, so ask the receptionist, even if you booked several days ahead. I’d look for somewhere else to stay. The owner should take another look at the staff.

The extra charges made this guesthouse feel not worth staying at. If an app booking through Traveloka, Oyo, Pegipegi, or another hotel app shows less than 110,000 Rupiah, they add fees at check-in, saying the rate is fixed and the app doesn’t make a profit. So why stay on the apps? For an 80,000 Rupiah booking, they asked for another 30,000 Rupiah plus 10,000 Rupiah for cleaning. There was also a 100,000 Rupiah deposit, refundable at checkout if you haven’t done anything wrong. That makes 130,000 Rupiah in total. It felt like being robbed 😂, and the supposedly nice facilities were cramped, dirty, and filthy.

Traveloka showed the hotel, but when I booked they said they were no longer partners and gave some abcdef excuse. I was furious, and all they said was, “Please report it to the police?” Why should reporting this to the police be my responsibility? That’s the hotel’s job.
