Kampoeng Nelayan Hotel

We stayed for two nights and were pleasantly surprised when the local breakfast menu changed on the second day. It included four local dishes, bread, coffee, tea, and a local fruit, and was delicious. The simple rooms were clean, with hot water in the shower, though you'll need to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The grounds are well lit at night, and during the day you can see the sea right in front of the hotel. For a budget three-star stay, I got more than I expected. It's much better and cheaper than most hotels in Palu. Highly recommended.

I had an uncomfortable one-night stay and won't return. There were lots of mosquitoes in the room, which was smaller than the one I'd ordered. I booked a King Size room but was given a small one at the same price. No toiletries were provided, and the Wi-Fi was very slow. The beach wasn't very good either, and there was a bad smell. I don't know how this hotel gets good reviews from visitors.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly, although they spoke little English. The king and twin rooms are large, while the queen rooms are small. I found the rooms a little expensive. Breakfast is served in a large, open-air dining area where you can catch the ocean breeze, and the menu changes daily. There's no Wi-Fi in the restaurant.

I paid for a large room but was given a small one. Wi-Fi doesn't reach all areas, including the restaurant. The restaurant itself was average, and even when I was the only customer, I waited more than half an hour for one drink and one dish. You'll be die! They also have a rule that couples without a marriage certificate can't stay together, though I'm not sure whether that applies to foreigners.
