The hotel is lovely, and once you step outside, it doesn’t feel like you’re in the middle of town. My room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil stay in Pangkalan Bun.

After a trip to Tanjung puting, this was a great place to stay. There are lots of places to eat nearby, including a pizza hut across the street and mcdonald about 100 m to the left, and it’s near the airport. I also liked the breakfast area in the back garden.

There’s a lovely garden inside, and the restaurant serves both indonesian and western food. The hotel itself is beautiful, built entirely of wood, and the staff are super friendly.

I found the room comfortable, but the Wi-Fi was a letdown this time. During my stay here last year the signal was good; in 2025, reception in my room was very poor. For what Arsela charges, I think it should provide a router in each room. Other hotels I’ve stayed at with lower rates already do that. I hope they consider improving this, since a stable internet connection is so important these days.

There was a nice space out front, another area at the back, and a good restaurant. The reception and breakfast staff were really nice, and the food was fairly good. The main problem was all the smoke in the corridor. It was especially difficult for my girlfriend, who has breathing problems triggered by smoke.
