Horison Ultima Timika

The food was the biggest letdown and needs a serious review. The grilled fish was very dry, with basil so strong its smell seemed to take over the whole fish. The spiced chicken was dry and bland, and I could barely chew it. Its spices tasted undercooked and left a raw herbal aftertaste. Fried rice, rice vermicelli, and noodles also lacked seasoning and had a poor texture, perhaps from steam dripping off the warmer. The crispy fish had no taste, and even the soy-sauce eggs were flavorless. Aiming for food that suits many palates shouldn't mean sacrificing taste. There were good points during my stay at Horison Ultima Hotel. The staff were friendly, the lobby had a nice feel, and my room was spacious, clean, and smelled pleasant. The bathroom was decent and everything worked. On the first day, the air conditioner leaked, but the receptionist and technician dealt with it quickly. I appreciated the response, though I did have to switch rooms. I've stayed at many Horison Hotels and traveled a lot, so I hope this feedback is useful for improving things.
