Bingin Family Bungalows

Our room was small, but it was enough for what we needed. Breakfast was superb, and every meal I had there was incredibly tasty and so cheap. The garden was well kept, and the pool was small but really nice. The staff were incredible. The women and girls cleaned every day, cooked, and were so friendly and happy. They deserve a lot of credit. They got us anything we needed. My only complaint was that there was no quilt, just sheets and a blanket. I mentioned it when we left, and they were open to the feedback. I'd definitely stay again. Thanks, ladies, we'll see you next time.

A few things went wrong: our room had ants in the wall, though staff gave us poison and we managed to get rid of them. One evening we had a full-sized Tokay gecko inside, which made its own little show. The faucet leaked too, but staff repaired it. Road-facing rooms get a lot of noise from traffic, dogs and roosters, so sleeping can be hard. On the plus side, the staff were friendly, the food was great, and the inner yard and pool area were lovely. The rooms were kept clean. They rent scooters, and there's a market across the street. The location is okay, neither great nor bad.

The bungalow felt private, and the bed was very comfortable. The pool and grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The property is in a nice but busy location, with an easy 10-minute walk to the beach. Nights could be noisy because of the bar and restaurant next door with live music. There were only three power outlets. One was taken by the mini fridge, and I couldn't get a plug into the one by the bed, so I'm not sure if it was broken. I could only charge my phone and devices using the bathroom outlet.

What bothered me most was that money and jewellery went missing from our room. The safe was broken and couldn't be used, leaving our valuables exposed, though we hadn't expected anything to disappear. I'd tell anyone staying here to keep valuables well hidden and secure. The rest of the stay was not bad. We spent four nights at Bingin Family bungalows. The location is good, close to the beach and a few nice cafes and eateries within walking distance. Staff were generally friendly, and the room was clean. Hot water ran out quickly, and the breakfasts were fairly average compared with similar places on our trip. It still seemed like good value for money, and without the missing items I'd probably stay again.
