On my first trip to Bali from Australia, Medi and Johan were wonderful. They went out of their way to look after us. When my friend and I didn't have a motorbike, Johan helped us get transport so we could go surfing. I recently learned that Medi was fired without an explanation. I'm extremely disappointed with management, because he was so welcoming and helped make our trip to Bali wonderful. I hope they reconsider, since I plan to return, but if this is how they repay their staff, I'm not sure I can support the business. Please reach out if needed. Cheers.

The price felt fair for what we got, with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The staff were great, though the hotel is a little old and the rooms could use some updating.

The room bore little resemblance to the photos, and I felt misled. It was old and worn, with dated furniture and decor that made it feel dark and dingy. The door key kept sticking, making it difficult to lock and unlock, which felt unsafe. Cleanliness was a major problem. All the towels had horrible yellow-brown stains, and a replacement set looked the same. The bathroom was in poor condition, the bed was uncomfortable, the air conditioning barely worked, and the WiFi was unreliable. For the price, the room, amenities and service were far below expectations and poor value. I felt scammed and ripped off. I don't recommend it. You can find a better room for the same price at better hotels, just do your research.

The location was great for walking around Uluwatu, and scooter rides were cheap when I needed one. Breakfast was free, filling and saved me money. The small pool was clean, and its water was always cold and refreshing. Those were the good parts. The rest was really rough. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been renovated since the 90s, and it was one open room with no divider. The linens, water and toiletries were the cheapest quality. The facilities were okay, but staff sometimes used the lounge chairs, so I couldn't sit there. The whole place needed renovation or deep cleaning. Room cleaning was half-hearted when it happened, and my room was missed many times, partly because the flimsy clean-my-room sign looked like it cost 20 cents to print on plain paper. The WiFi was practically nonexistent. The setup seemed built for a small house, not so many rooms, and I had to pay for coworking every day. I wasn't going to complain about road noise, since it's on a main road, but when I looked out, it was staff smoking and listening to music with their friends who were making the noise. It looks like it was built 30 years ago and then left to deteriorate once it kept making money with little effort from the owner. If you want somewhere private and very cheap in a good location, and only plan to sleep there for five hours before heading out, fine. Honestly, a decent hostel would be cleaner and nicer. Ask them to send more bathroom photos. I dare you.

The location was the best part for me. Excellent restaurants are a one-minute walk away, while Bingin beach is about 10 minutes away. There's also a larger strip with many shops and restaurants on the way to Padang Padang beach. We paid around 55 Canadian dollars a night after tax, and it felt well worth it. We stayed three nights. It was quiet and well kept, with excellent, consistently friendly service. The pool was too hot for us, though I think most people would love it. Our room's interior was a little bare, and the place is dated, with chipped and scuffed walls and floors, but it was perfectly clean. Construction across the street continued throughout our stay, but wasn't disruptive.
