Toraja Bambu

I've now stayed in two different kinds of these gorgeous villas, and both were beautiful and unbelievably spacious, with several spots to relax. Mr Nana and the team were attentive and always willing to help. The pools were clean and lovely, with a perfect setting to unwind. Outside, there's a separate, very cute kitchen with everything you need. The fridge has a few items you can buy, or you can fill it yourself from the supermarket. It's a quiet location, a short walk from the main town and a quick scooter ride to the stunning Padang Padang Beach. There's also a cute nearby café with wholesome, fresh, delicious food, and the coffee is consistently great. Scooters and other transport are easy to get. If you want a little luxury for a break, I can't recommend these villas enough. I've been lucky to stay twice and can't wait to return next June.

The rooms at Toraja Bambu were comfortable, clean, and well cared for. Staff were friendly, attentive, and ready to help. It's a safe place with a great location and easy access to everything, a lovely choice for a relaxing Bali stay. Highly recommended.

The friendly, kind Balinese staff really tried to help, and thankfully Airbnb helped us get a full refund after we left following the first night. I first tried to work things out with the host, Lina, but she was hostile and rude. Take photos or videos as evidence if you need them. Reading other reviews, it seems this treatment from Lina may be common. I wish I'd researched more and paid less attention to the photos. The gaps around the doors and windows let in noise, heat, and insects. With loud construction next door and staff often walking down the alley beside our room, it felt like trying to sleep at a party while camping in 30-degree heat. Definitely not a relaxing getaway. There are beautiful, quiet villas that cost much less. We found a wonderful place for a fraction of the price and enjoyed the rest of our trip.

My villa had a pool and an ocean view, and the decor gave it a luxurious Bali feel. Toraja Bambu was a magical stay from beginning to end, with a convenient location and great staff. I loved the whole experience and would happily stay again on my next trip to Bali.
