ZEN Premium Uluwatu Complex

We asked for a quiet room, and ours was at the far end of the complex, where it was peaceful. The gardens were well maintained, with lovely water features around the grounds. There’s a lot on site: a bar, restaurant, golf course, well-equipped gym, huge infinity pool, and transport service for taxis or scooters. Room service runs 24 hours. The rooms are large and modern, with good air conditioning, a spacious bathroom and comfortable bed. Balinese hospitality made the experience even better. The restaurant deserves a mention for its excellent buffet breakfast, supper and dinner options, and food quality. Some nights had live music and barbecue specials. There was even a foam party with a local DJ during our stay, which was pretty cool. Free shuttles run at set times to nearby beaches, including Dreamland Beach, Padang Padang Beach and Suluban Beach. Porter service on arrival is free, though tips are welcome, and mountain bikes are available to use within the complex. The airport shuttle was excellent too. Our flights changed at the last minute, but we told ZEN rooms right away and had no issues when we arrived in Bali. The driver was on time, thanks Putu. My wife and I will definitely come back when we visit Bali again. The downsides were minor: the sheets felt a little grainy, the floor-level shower let water leak onto the bathroom floor, the room build quality could be better, and the floors were a bit dirty.

I really enjoyed staying here. It’s peaceful and quiet, while still close enough to the popular beaches in Uluwatu. I’d definitely come back.
