Eco Moringa Garden

The people here were by far the most welcoming and caring we've met anywhere. After four nights, we left totally relaxed, having seen beautiful places and met some truly wonderful people. We travelled Java and Bali for three weeks and visited lots of places, and this is the one we'd recommend most. It's tucked away in a small village among a few houses and farms, quiet and relaxed, with the occasional Hindu ceremony to hear. That's part of the charm of staying among local people. The garden, full of coconut and banana trees, plants and lovely flowers, gives you a real Bali feel. Rooms are clean and simple, with a nice atmosphere, a super large comfy bed and a small private terrace. The shower and toilet are in a spacious, partly open-air area with a roof that stops halfway. The sink and toilet are basic, but the shower is something special: water comes out of a bamboo stick. The infinity pool is clean, surrounded by nature, and has a breathtaking mountain view. There are sunbeds in the sun and under a sunroof for shade. Breakfast on the pool terrace was a lovely way to start the day. We had banana pancakes, toast with omelet and Indonesian breakfast, all really good. The dinners were even better. We ate in most nights and tried nearly all the dishes. Our favorites were satay, chicken in sweet soya sauce and chicken curry. Staff can arrange all sorts of activities. We visited a local market, went snorkelling over the reefs, spent a day at White Sand Beach, and had lunch and dinner at a local warung, PakPoi, where we'd recommend the Capcay and Betutu. Temple visits, birdwatching and trekking through the national park are also options.

A great base for a longer stay in western Bali. The rooms are clean, the pool is amazing, the garden is lovely and breakfast is good. The owners are happy to arrange whatever else you might need. 10/10.
