The app lists a price far below the usual rate, and I booked through it. But when I got there, it was a boarding house, not a guesthouse. If it isn’t a guesthouse, please take it off the app. The listed phone number doesn’t work either. There’s a price for quality, and I hope you realize that soon. If you’re actually trying to scam me, I don’t know what else to say. The money from a scam isn’t much, and I’d feel guilty too. Sorry, sir.

After a long overnight trip, I was glad to find an affordable place with promising photos. But at the check-in address, it was a women’s boarding house, and there was no receptionist. The landlady said I wasn’t the first person this had happened to. She’d reported it, but OYO still hadn’t taken the listing down. Be careful booking here: it isn’t a daily stay, and OYO hasn’t removed this ghost hostel from its listings.

I booked through Traveloka, but once we arrived they said this wasn’t a guesthouse and they had no partnership with Traveloka. What a rip-off, okay?
