The water pressure from the tap and shower could be stronger, and then it’d be perfect. Otherwise, I loved it. It’s one of the homiest homestays in Pekanbaru: affordable, clean, near the airport, and the owner and receptionist are kind. ☺️

Laundry costs 7,000 Rupiah per kilogram, and there’s a gallon jug of water outside the room. Breakfast and drinks come with the room at a very affordable price. Inside, it was comfortable and clean, with spotless white sheets, a blanket, and towels. The AC was cold, and showers had hot water. There was a TV, though not many channels.

I wasn’t satisfied with the stay. The bed was hard, and the water came out so slowly that filling enough to shower took ages. The shower head and liquid soap holder were broken, the TV remote didn’t work, and there was no toothpaste or toothbrush. The towels were rough, stiff, and in poor shape. For 200,000 at Oyo, it still wasn’t comfortable. At Pasir Pengaraian, places for 150 already have cold AC, plenty of water, clean rooms, soft mattresses, and working TVs. I hope they pay more attention to guest comfort going forward.
