Perfect.

Individual bungalows sit in a beautiful, lovingly grown garden, with the Bali Sea only a few steps from the terrace. It’s a gorgeous, peaceful retreat by the water, a few minutes’ drive from Pemuteran and Sumberkima in north west Bali. The in-house chefs prepare all the meals, and the bungalows have what you need for a quiet stay. The owners can easily arrange diving, snorkeling, hiking, birdwatching, and other activities during the day or evening. It’s a real escape from the bustle. You can relax, read, swim in the bay, and listen to the sea, birds, and local life, including a small mosque. A little oasis of calm.

We were a bit wary after reading the reviews, but our six days with Jörg in August turned into a wonderful week at the end of our Bali trip. We were the only guests, and Jörg and his team looked after us incredibly well. Even with a rental car, we only went into the village for dinner once. Anni, the cook, made authentic Balinese food for us every evening, and every meal was a highlight. The clean bungalows sit in a small garden with frangipani and mango trees, right beside the beach. At low tide the beach is full of rocks, so it isn't really ideal for a beach holiday. The nearby village loudspeakers were the main downside. We heard Muslim prayers several times a day, and it seemed to come from several places rather than just one muezzin. That decentralized setup was new to me. Diving with Jörg was unique, and probably one of the most relaxing experiences I've had in 20 years. He's been diving there for 22 years and knows the reefs extremely well. There's no time limit unless your tank runs empty. Underwater he's incredibly calm and passionate, and he tries to make any request possible. We had two fantastic days diving on Pulau Mengangan, plus wonderfully varied night dives in Permutaran. Thank you, Jörg, that was truly wonderful. We'd definitely come back. THANK YOU!
