Hibiscus House Bali

We spent four days at The Hibiscus House and would happily return. Our family apartment was roomy, beautifully furnished, and spotlessly clean, with a lovely garden around it. The location felt peaceful while still being central, and the hosts were warm and very helpful.

Ron even went to the pharmacy when one of us got ill, and they also arranged in-house massages that were fabulous and great value. They were such helpful hosts. The garden and pool are beautiful and peaceful, and the garden has clearly had a lot of care put into it. Our spacious room had a lovely outdoor shower room. Drinking water and basic cooking facilities were thoughtful touches, and breakfast was delicious. We chose the Indonesian option, and since we went diving every day, it was always served in time for us to eat before our transport arrived. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

The setting is a real pleasure, with local and western food within walking distance, along with the beach. Ron can also arrange diving. The gardens are lush, and there's a nicely sized pool that I never seem to manage to get into. The rooms are lovely, made mostly from beautiful local wood, and it's fun to see how many hibiscus designs you can spot. Your hosts are a talented Javanese artist and gardener with a creative mind, and her American diver husband. They share their little shangri-la, and staying in this magical area was a real pleasure.

Ron and Myta made me feel at home in a way that's hard to find when you're traveling solo, and I'm really grateful I found Hibiscus House. It's beautiful, clean, convenient, and welcoming. I'd recommend it to solo travelers, families, and especially divers. This is the only place I'll stay in Pemuteran!
