The team really makes this little, well-kept lodge feel welcoming. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk from the beach, and they can arrange diving, snorkeling and other outings if you want to explore.

The pool is lovely, clear and peaceful, and the rooms are attractive and very clean. There’s a small opening in the back of each bungalow’s shower area that lets in sunlight. Temple visits, snorkeling, yoga and other activities are organized exceptionally well. Breakfast is on the small side and can take a long time, so I’d suggest ordering it the day before.

The scuba introduction was the highlight of my trip to Indonesia, and it was such good value compared with what places offering these courses often charge. I was lucky to be the only person diving, so I got a private dive. The instructor even took my camera and filmed for me, which meant I could concentrate on diving and came away with shots I couldn’t have taken myself. He was approachable and reassuring, and went through the basics carefully in the pool and again before the first dive. I also enjoyed the yoga class, and there were plenty of other activities on offer. I was staying here as part of an Intrepid tour. The room was really nice, the staff were friendly, and it was cute to see my name written on the bed. Breakfast was great too.

We came here for dinner during a G Adventures tour and had a great time. The food was great, and the traditional dancers made it a really enjoyable experience. I’d highly recommend it.

The Balinese dancing was fantastic, and the food was delicious. Service was amazing too. Definitely recommend.
