Mimpi Nyata Villa & Dive Center

A quiet, relaxed spot with a lovely warm pool and really friendly staff. It’s near some great restaurants, and the dive school is attached, with snorkeling options too. We’d very much recommend it and hope to come back sometime.

We went diving with the on-site dive centre, and the equipment was in good condition and worked well. The staff were always kind and ready to help with a smile. Breakfast was simple but filling, though the menu stayed the same throughout our visit. There were also very good restaurants nearby. We stayed in May 22, during the covid low, and the place was still very well maintained. Our room was spacious and thoughtfully decorated, with a roomy bath. The aircon cooled it without blowing cold air straight at us.

We took our Open Water course at their dive club, and it was a real pleasure. We saw dolphin, turtle, shark on the dives! I’ll come back if I get the chance :) The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and there’s a very nice swimming pool. Marc and Nathalie are wonderful hosts, considerate and helpful. You’re away from Bali’s hustle and bustle while still close to beaches, mountains, temples, and everything else.

The owner and her son were rude and arrogant. Maybe it’s because we don’t speak French, but they didn’t even say hello or introduce themselves. The information in the room was only in French, and they said English speakers don’t go there. The accommodation has good bones and a nice garden, but it feels neglected. The curtains are hanging, some tiles are broken, and there are unknown marks on the cabinet and in the bathroom. The bathroom needs a deep clean: there’s a lot of buildup and rust, and the natural stone walls need grinding back and resealing. Even in Bali, the toilet smell is bad, and we’ve stayed in lots of places. Payment was cash only, no card. The bed was comfortable.
