The food and the service were the standouts for me at La Reserve. Breakfast was unlimited and we loved it, even having some as late as 3 pm after a massage outside on our last day. The truffle egg, croissants, and homemade berry jam were my favorites, and you can tell the food and beverage staff put a lot of care into the dishes. The in-house massage was the best I had in Bali: quiet, private, and impeccably done. The buggy service was prompt when we requested it by WhatsApp, and the team even packed pastries for us to take away. They also handled our many requests for 3 pm meals while we lounged by the pool. The dinner rendang was a bit disappointing, so maybe skip it. I didn't sleep that well because I'm a sensitive sleeper and would have preferred a firmer pillow and my own bed. The hotel only has queen beds, though my friend slept fine. One small thing: the butler came into our room with his shoes on to introduce it, which the hotel could address. I'd suggest a bigger discount for repeat bookings. It's a small, intimate setting, good for switching off and exploring nearby Canggu, with buggy rides to get around. The service was near perfect, and for me the heart and care make the five-star rating deserved.

Coming back from lively Canggu, we'd hear, “Welcome home, Sir, Madam…” The whole place had such a lovely, calm feel. The hotel is a stylish gem, with antique details and an atmosphere I really love. Breakfast was amazing, and we could have it whenever we were ready, choosing whatever we fancied. The food in general was wonderful. Ngurah, the GM, greeted us each time with a huge smile and asked what he could do for us. His team had the same welcoming attitude. As a businesswoman, I know how much a company's energy shows in the way guests are treated, and Ngurah and the team really got that right. Whatever we asked, the answer was always, “Sure, what else can we do for you?” I rarely post reviews, but this place deserves one. We'll definitely be back next winter. Highly recommend.

The service here was the best we've ever had at a hotel. Every staff member was lovely and friendly, and they were always willing to help. The restaurant team were amazing too, and the food was incredible, compliments to the chef. My husband couldn't get enough of the berry jam and breakfast croissants. We also loved having a buggy available to take us to nearby restaurants and shops. One of the best hotels I've stayed in, and we'd highly recommend it.

What really made our stay was the service. The concierge and everyone on the team were warm, attentive, and ready to help with anything. The rooms are roomy and beautifully designed, with a thoughtful, high-end feel, and the food and breakfast were incredible. La Reserve is tucked into a lovely part of Canggu, close to everything but still peaceful. The property is gorgeous and felt higher quality than many other Bali villas I've stayed in. I had such an amazing stay and would recommend it to anyone.

The tuk-tuk rides around Canggu made it easy to visit nearby places, and the team replied quickly to anything we sent over WhatsApp. Everyone was warm and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast selection, especially the truffle scrambled eggs, pancakes, pastries, and fresh fruit. The afternoon tea each day was a lovely extra. They even decorated our room with balloons for a birthday, which was a very sweet surprise. The peaceful atmosphere made La Reserve 1785 perfect for a relaxing getaway. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return.
