Makali Temple Village

My family and friends had 3 amazing nights at Makali temple village. My daughter loved it so much that after we moved to another villa in a different area, she kept saying we should move back. I promised her, and myself, we’d return soon. It’s right in the heart of pererenan, next to canggu, with lots of cool cafes, decent restaurants, trendy boutiques, and convenience stores a short walk away. The beach is a 10-minute walk, and Le brisa, one of the most popular beach clubs, is 15 minutes away. The village makes a deliberate choice to preserve the natural harmony and offer a bespoke guest experience. The warm-toned wooden furnishings are tastefully arranged, giving each space a calm, understated charm, and every villa has a private pool for added privacy and comfort. All of us felt it was an oasis for families, friends, and travelers. Time slows down here, laughter lingers, and joy quietly returns.

The staff and room were absolutely amazing, and the villas are beautiful. It’s far enough from the loud tourists, though a bit away from the tourist areas, so travel time to activities will reflect that. The climate is temperate, and the villas are designed to let nature in when you want it, so there will be ants and insects. That really isn’t a big deal. Everyone is super friendly.

It feels tucked away and private, but great restaurants are still close by. The staff were warm and attentive, and having our own pool made it lovely for a couple or a family. Highly recommend.

We used one of our two neighboring villas as the group's base for drinks and pool time, with eight friends spread across both. It was a great setup. The area is peaceful, with excellent restaurants and a fantastic spa just a short walk away. We only wish we could've stayed longer. We'll be back.
