Ukiyo Villa II Pererenan

The interior is lovely for photos, the bedding was nice, the lighting could be adjusted, and the pool was deep and beautiful. The furniture also looked clean and new. That's what we liked about the villa, where we stayed for three nights mostly to take pictures. But the price didn't feel justified. We've stayed in larger, better-quality villas for the same amount, without confusing extra charges. A day after checkout, the landlord asked us for $100 to completely reupholster the outdoor sofa, claiming there were two holes we couldn't see. They said we'd smoked there and burned it, even though there was an ashtray and all the guests smoked there. We don't remember leaving burns and hadn't noticed any when we checked in, so we asked for a dated photo from before our stay and paperwork showing the repair cost. They only sent a low-quality, distant photo of the sofa and cigarette butts in the ashtray, which didn't show whether holes were there, plus a form with a handwritten made-up amount and no official stamp. The villa was smaller in person than it looked online, with construction noise around the clock, even at midnight. There was nothing else around besides construction. Lizards and insects got into our cosmetics, clothes, and food left on the table, sometimes within five minutes, despite us keeping the doors shut. The pool loungers were too hot to use during the day without an umbrella, and there was no microwave.
