Homestay Tirtasari Pinrang City Center

I’ve never stayed somewhere this uncomfortable. The room was unbearably hot because the AC didn’t work, the toilet and sheets were dirty, the sheets smelled, and the bed was awful. I can’t remember the room number, but the service wasn’t much better, the receptionist wasn’t friendly. My husband and I asked to check out and get a refund after about 15 minutes. We were told it had gone through, but our money still hasn’t come back.

Fine for a night’s stopover, I guess.

I didn’t feel secure here. I left my bag in the room while I went to get food, and when I came back its back zipper was open. My money and travel receipt were missing. I looked around in case I’d dropped them, but couldn’t find them. It wasn’t a large amount, and luckily I’d photographed the receipt, but the real issue is feeling comfortable and safe.

The room was roomy and reasonably clean, though I may just have been unlucky with 107. Its AC wouldn’t cool the room. The staff’s response to my complaint felt mediocre. I expected she might offer an upgrade, since I was moved to a more expensive room with cooler AC and 107 was the only standard room available. Instead, she was more willing to arrange a refund and checkout.
