The bed was comfortable enough for a good night's sleep, and breakfast was decent with a good range of choices. The rooms are a bit cramped, though, and the work chair has no backrest, so it isn't comfortable for working. It's conveniently close to the airport, which makes this a practical spot for a short transit stay.

I hadn't even stayed the night and was already disappointed. The room stank of sweat as soon as I walked in. When I went to shower, the towel rack fell and the towels landed in the toilet bowl. I called for two replacement towels and was told each one would cost 25k rupiah. The shower has no door, so water gets everywhere and there's no dry area. The aircon wasn't cold even on its lowest setting. I'd been in the room for less than an hour when I wrote this, and now I regret booking because I have to put up with it for the next seven days. OMG!

The room was small but fine for sleeping, and both the bed and bathroom were clean. Breakfast is provided too. My main disappointment is that every standard room is a smoking room, which is a bad fit if you don't smoke. The hotel and lobby look brand new, with enough lighting. It's away from the busy areas, so it's quiet, and there are two big malls nearby in Pontianak. For this kind of standard, I think the price is a little high, probably should be under 400k.

My first stay was so disappointing that I won't come back. The lobby is elegant and spacious, and it's an 89-room hotel considered three-star. But only one receptionist was handling check-in, and it felt slow. I'd asked for a non-smoking room, but nobody told me none were available until I noticed the keycard sleeve said smoking room. When I asked, the receptionist said non-smoking rooms were sold out. Why wasn't I told before deciding to check in? She tried to convince me the smell was standard, and yes, it smelled like a smoking room. I went back downstairs and asked to change rooms. She offered a Deluxe room for 450K without breakfast, but at checkout the morning receptionist charged me only 430K for the upgrade. The room was okay for a new hotel, though I found dirt on the bedsheets and the walls are so thin I could hear giggling and conversation next door. Management should find a suitable, experienced front desk officer. I can't comment on the food because I checked in at 22:00pm and had to leave at 5.00am.
