First impression: cheap and fairly clean. I’m planning to stay longer.

The place is in the city center, close to Kopi Asiang, a nearby mosque, and plenty of halal food stalls, so it feels safe. Rooms are reasonably priced. Parking a car can be a bit tricky, and you’ll need to manage stairs since the accommodation is on the first floor. We recommend staying here if you’re okay with that.

The receptionist did a good job, and I felt safe because guests were clearly told that prostitution and massages were strictly prohibited. The app was in, and it turned out the guest was the one harassing the staff. There are also large banners on the stairs, so I don’t see how the rules could be missed. I stayed here and followed them. If you don’t want criticism, don’t break the rules. Every place has its own rules, and they shouldn’t be compared. Every hotel boss in Pontianak is the same boss. Make logical comments and don’t make things up or add any seasoning. I don’t put much stock in people’s comments, since none of them seemed factual to me. I also found it funny that someone claimed room 106 smelled of kitchen smoke. I stayed in room 106, which had no terrace and walls all around, so how would smoke get in? If you’re after good facilities, stay in a 3-star hotel, use the elevator, and expect to pay a good price. Don’t expect 3-star amenities on a tight budget. Thank you, GBU.

I booked online, but when I arrived they said the place was full. I switched to another room, and it was a dud. I had to climb to the fourth floor with no elevator, and the room’s electricity kept cutting in and out. I regret booking without checking Google Maps reviews. This hotel really isn’t right.
