The room started shaking from loud bass music at 5 a.m., and it was so noisy that sleeping was hard. At the front desk, the man charged me more than the online price. The room needs repainting, and the air conditioner needs servicing. Hot water was the one good point. I don't recommend this place.

Our room was so dirty and full of bugs, and the sheets had holes. My husband and I put our camping pads on top of the bed and were glad we only had to be there for a couple of hours before leaving for Mt.Bromo. When we arrived, they had no record of our Expedia booking, so we had to pay again. We would have gone somewhere else, but every other place was already booked, so we stuck it out for the evening.

The manager and owner, Bowo, was very kind, as were his staff. His communication and service were great, and he can arrange a Mount Bromo tour and pickup. I don't want to be too harsh because I liked them, and I hope the money I paid can help improve the cleanliness. I didn't ask for a refund. The first room I was shown had bedbugs, with a large number covering one bed. I saw reviews from nine months earlier mentioning the same thing, so I thought it might have been fixed. The second room had no bedbugs, but it did have an ant infestation. I was tired and it was late, so I made do, then left early the next morning because the rooms were too dirty. Bedbugs would normally mean one star for me. The rooms were very dirty aside from that, but these are nice people, and I hope they can sort it out. With better cleaning, I think this could be a four or five star place offering great value and great service.
