Intan Hotel Purwakarta

The pool was a nice surprise, clean water and not much chlorine taste, so it felt refreshing. We stayed one night in a family room, which had plenty of space in both the room and the bed. Cleanliness and safety need work, though: nobody checked IDs at check-in or check-out, the door lock wasn’t adequate, and there were no lockers by the pool. Breakfast stopped at 9, and by then we barely got any of what was left. Food choices were limited. It’s a low-budget hotel, so keep expectations modest.

The staff were pretty friendly, and the hot water worked. The rest of the room was in rough shape: dated furniture, a TV that didn’t work at all, and a dark, dirty bathroom. The sheets and towels smelled bad too. For the price they’re charging, the whole hotel really needs a renovation.

The clean, fairly large pool was the one thing that worked well for our family. The rest of the stay was bad: fungus, cockroaches, dusty rooms, a dirty bathroom, old creaky furniture, an AC that barely worked, and unpleasant smells.

I booked Executive Room No. 31 at Intan Hotel, but the facilities were poor. There was a leak, maybe from the rain, though I couldn’t tell where it came from. The toilet and bathroom were dirty, the bathroom door was broken, and there was no tissue, room trash bin, or wifi. The pool is also rented out to people who aren’t hotel guests.
