OYO 91762 Green Home Stay Syariah

FRAUD. I paid cashlessly through the OYO app, and they still said they don’t cooperate with OYO. That’s terrible.

This felt like a rental, in a dark and neglected setting, with only an AC and a closet for amenities. The bigger problem was being made to pay twice. I’d already paid without cash through the OYO app, but after I arrived, the staff said they no longer worked with any app and demanded 180,000 Rupiah in cash. They told me I couldn’t stay otherwise. It was late, with nowhere else available nearby, so I paid, and the money from my OYO booking was lost and non-refundable. I felt cheated. Don’t book here if you want to avoid being scammed.

This was a complete scam. I booked through Agoda and confirmed on WhatsApp with the owner that I’d check in around 11 PM. When I got there, they demanded another 120,000 IDR in cash even though I’d already paid through the app. My pregnant wife and I contacted the owner, a Haji, to let me into the room. He insisted I couldn’t check in through the staff unless I paid. The staff were ineffective: when I asked for help, they ran into the prayer room and went back to sleep. I found both them and the owner stupid. There was no OYO sign in front, the map pin didn’t match the actual location, and the lighting was so minimal that it was dark. Never choose this hotel, anyone reading this review!

My family and I felt cheated by the Green Home owners and OYO on April 30, 2023. We checked in and paid through the APK, but on arrival the guard said Green Home was no longer working with OYO and had felt disadvantaged by them for several months. The inn offered cash payment and also offered a refund, though they said they didn’t know anything about the refund. The amount wasn’t much, but whoever was right or wrong, everyone will be held accountable in the afterlife. I hope there won’t be more victims like us.
