Warung Jemeluk & Home Stay

The rooms were decent for the price, and direct access to the beach was great for snorkeling. But constant karaoke ended up ruining the experience. It was loud and often off-key, and we could hear it everywhere on the property throughout the day. It usually stopped around 10/11 pm, but the daytime noise made it hard to relax or even hear ourselves think, let alone plan the day after breakfast. We’d resigned ourselves to using the place just to sleep, but returning to all that noise was incredibly frustrating. The staff did quickly fix the initial room problems, an unpleasant odor and a faulty air conditioner. Still, the atmosphere lacked warmth and genuine hospitality.

We stayed for two nights. The room was spacious, clean and nice, breakfast was OK, and the beach was clean. Snorkeling was really great, and the massage was good too. But it’s very noisy everywhere, and there’s a smell of boiled chicken.

A good little warung in a great snorkeling location. The owner is very business-minded but honest, the dishes are good, and the prices are fair, so it’s good value. You can rent a lounger and snorkeling gear, and transit is free if you eat.

For this price, it’s the best place. The owner is very nice, kind, helpful and good-hearted, and we got lots of bonuses during our stay. The room was big and comfortable, and the breakfast and food were delicious. There’s a lovely romantic view, and it’s a great spot for snorkeling too.
