A hotel scam.

For 544,636 IDR, I got a room that felt like a cheap boarding house, despite the price being comparable to a star hotel. Check-in took a long time because the receptionist wasn’t on standby. When staff finally arrived, they just told me to go straight to room number 2. The TV couldn’t be adjusted, the bathroom door wouldn’t lock, and there was no hot water or sink. There was only one towel and one blanket. The quality was 1/10, which was a real shame for the price.

There are about six rooms upstairs on the second floor above Alfamart, and access is by the stairs in front of the store. Vehicles are parked outside the minimarket, where there’s CCTV and a parking attendant. The rooms have air conditioning and good Wi-Fi, though the TV was broken during my stay. I booked here because I thought the location was great, right across from the SATRIA Sports Hall on a main road. At first, it was a bit hard to find because the GORLAND sign was above the Alfamart and incomplete. Sundays get very busy, with traffic jams on the road from about 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. because of the car-free day.

The location is good, near the GOR and Hayden Inn, but I misread the listing: this is a hostel, not a hotel. I got one towel and one toothbrush and toothpaste set. The wall beside the bed is just a layer of plywood 🤣, and there are stairs in the room, but no sink or Wi-Fi, huh. There is hot water, though it takes a long time to come through, around 10 minutes when the tap is turned to the right. The TV works, but if it doesn’t turn on, check the decoder and switch it manually. If there are no channels, search manually with the remote. The receptionist isn’t always there because she’s juggling two workplaces, but you can contact her on WhatsApp. If you’re not single, don’t come here, it’s not great hahaha.
