Hotel O Gardenia Boarding House

The location is strategic, and the price is cheap, so it could suit you if that's what you're after. Just be mentally prepared, and bring your own towel, full set of amenities, and blanket, since none are provided. It's a boarding house that also takes overnight guests.

The room was dusty, with mold on the walls, dirty sheets, and curtains that were dusty and dirty. The windows wouldn't close, and the AC wasn't cold, clearly lacking maintenance. A cigarette smell hung around the room for days and wouldn't go away. WiFi was awful too, with only one bar and constant YouTube buffering. Lots of people ended up using their own hotspots. They should add a separate router or WiFi for the upper floors. One serious thing to check with the owner and caretaker: are there condoms under the mattresses? Is it really that dirty? Do they even throw away used ones left in the room? 🤨🤨 Imagine a child finding one. Seriously. I used to live here, but it's gotten even more neglected and dirty since OYO acquired it. Huge no.

The location is great, close to everything, and works well enough if you're boarding here for business in the city or just need a place to rest. The room, though, was really neglected and far from what I expected from the ad. Don't go by the advertisement or you'll be disappointed later, hehe.

The cheapest room I got was 90 thousand. The one below 60 thousand isn't available anymore, right? The place has AC, a bathroom, a table, and a big bed. The AC worked so well I was shivering, the bathroom was good, and the guard was pretty nice and friendly. The front is a bit dark, so just head inside first. There's a really good view of Mount Slamet from here, a big Alfamart on the right, a gas station in front, and a Padang restaurant, Remes, and others on the left.
