We had booked three rooms and arrived around 11 pm after getting caught in traffic. There was no sign showing where reception was, just a small table outside on the building's terrace. The hotel is overrated and, so far, the worst one I've booked. Room 203 had okay AC and a working toilet, but the bathroom smelled bad and the lock was very stiff. The shampoo and shower gel bottles had no labels, so we had to guess which was which. I don't understand why the labels and standards varied between rooms. Room 104 had cold AC, a door that worked, and a bathroom that was roomier than the others. Its toiletries were labeled, but water from the shower stayed pooled on the floor, and the flush took a long time to refill. There was no bathroom sink. Room 103's AC wasn't cold at all. We asked for a better room or an upgrade since the problem wasn't our fault, but the owner thought we wanted the AC serviced and seemed unhappy. He gave us deluxe room 202 upstairs, accessed by stairs, but its AC wasn't any better, so we went back to 103. That room's door wouldn't stay closed unless locked. Room 202's door had to be turned counterclockwise to open from inside. The towels didn't absorb water properly. There were no toothbrushes, toothpaste, or sandals, though I understand those aren't essential. Guests weren't allowed to bring sandals in, but the floor was very dusty, so they should at least provide some.

My room's bathroom couldn't be used because the drain was clogged. The hotel operator should thoroughly check each room after guests check out so it's fully ready for the next guest.

The room really surprised my parents. It was roomy, clean, and comfortable, so they assumed the place must be expensive even though it’s cheap. The staff were so friendly and the service was top-notch. I can’t remember the male receptionist’s name, but he spoke Javanese and had curly hair. Give that guy a raise! I’ll stay here again next time. Hope the owner’s business keeps growing and they can open branches everywhere, haha 🥰

The room itself was pretty decent. What bothered me was being asked in the morning to pay money for the night guard. Why should guests have to cover security? I’ve stayed at plenty of inns and have NEVER been asked to pay for a night guard before.
