Sans Stay Onengan Inn Salatiga

At a price of 200, this hotel is very good. The staff are friendly, the rooms and toilets are very clean, and even the downstairs toilet has handwashing soap. On arrival, everything was clean and well organized, and there's a security guard at night. If the parking lot is full, someone directs you to another place to park. The location is convenient, close to the main road. The one problem is the Sanyo water tap: when someone uses the bathroom in the middle of the night, it's very noisy and can disturb sleep. It made noise even when we hadn't peed but someone else had. I'd suggest fixing the Sanyo water tap so it doesn't make such a racket after use.

It has more of a guesthouse feel. The room door doesn't fit evenly, so outside light comes through, and paint is peeling from quite a few walls. The overnight rate was higher because of the long weekend.

Clean rooms and really friendly service are the best parts. The place is quiet, with no traffic noise, and there's plenty of parking and green space. It's right in the city center, near restaurants and convenience stores that are open around the clock. Very cozy, and I'll make it my regular stop when I'm passing through Salatiga.

My room was clean and the location was nice, though getting a low car through the high concrete entrance was a bit difficult. The parking area also gets dirty from white droppings from the trees. I booked in person for myself, my wife and our two children, who are in fifth and first grade. At check-in, the receptionist knew we were a family of four and quoted 350,000 Rupiah. When I returned the key at 11:00 AM on checkout, I was charged another 100,000 Rupiah because the children were being counted as adults. Why wasn't that extra charge mentioned when I registered? This was my first hotel stay with an additional fee like that, so I'm just sharing what happened to me.
