Wisma Tamu UKSW

Some rooms have a newer design, but others aren't very clean. My room had an old, dirty bathtub and a rusty, damp bathroom door. I told the staff, and they tried to clean the bathroom properly, but it still wasn't right. Apart from that, things were OK.

Whenever I go to Salatiga, I choose this place. The room is nice enough for a very reasonable price, and the staff are super friendly. It's a five-minute walk from Alun-alun Salatiga and close to UKSW. On my last visit, the water heater was the one issue. It isn't always on, so you have to ask the staff to turn it on when you want to shower.

I took the cheapest room. For a place like this, the experience was so-so, and the service could have been better. Around $12 feels a little pricey for Salatiga, though I guess hotel value here is expensive compared with somewhere like Semarang. There was no breakfast or AC, but Salatiga's weather is pretty cool anyway, and the warm shower worked well. The TV was black and white, while the bed was quite clean. If you want the cheapest accommodation in the heart of town, the price is justifiable.

At first I thought the hotel was great, but the service ruined it. The AC remote was wet, the room felt damp, and the bathroom was even worse. Better to book another hotel.
