ICON City Hotel Samarinda

The hotel has an elegant design and a peaceful, refined atmosphere. My room was spotless and comfortable, and I slept well. The staff were welcoming and efficient, and the facilities were well maintained. A good fit if you’re looking for elegance, comfort, and quiet.

The location worked really well for graduation, close to the venue, and the hotel had good furnishings, free parking, and little road noise. Staff were polite and helped with the issue during our stay. The shower drain was partly clogged, though, so it drained slowly and left an unpleasant smell. Even with that, we had a really nice stay.

For a short stay, this place was mostly good. Getting around was easy, and the room felt new and clean. I also appreciated having no carpets since dust sets off my allergies. The rooms aren't soundproof, so staff talking can wake you if you're a light sleeper. The hotel connects to a cafe open to the public, with glass doors and a room card tap for access, either at the end of the second-floor hall or just downstairs.

The staff were so helpful, polite, and genuinely nice ❤️ I was very happy with the service and would recommend the hotel. If you're coming to Samarinda, make sure you stay here!
