Midtown Hotel Samarinda

The staff made our six-night stay at Midtown Samarinda memorable. Everyone was friendly and quick to respond, from the smiling receptionists to the tidy, honest housekeeping team. Our belongings were safe in the room, and the security guards even helped Mom with her car. I’m grateful to all of them and the management team. The location made it easy to get around town, and the food mall is right across the street. The room was clean, the pool was cute and pleasant, and the food was so-so but very generous. Parking is a bit limited. I’d stay here again and recommend it to friends and family ❤️

A good place to stay. Breakfast could use more variety, but overall I had a good stay 👍🏼

Breakfast had limited choices, especially for anyone hoping for more Western-style food. Even so, I’d happily come back. The hotel is affordable for what it offers, with a clean, well-kept room, a comfortable bed, and a clean bathroom. Netflix was a nice extra for relaxing, and I liked the city view. Free parking was a plus. There are cafes nearby, with Indomaret, KFC, and Richeese Factory just across the street. It’s a great hotel in Samarinda.

The location is the one good thing. Live music noise came into the room, it smelled bad, some bulbs were out, and I wasn’t convinced the air conditioning air was clean. The toilet trash wasn’t emptied every day. The front office staff had poor manners and couldn’t communicate politely. They couldn’t even open the front door for a simple task. No waiter was around to clear plates from the tables. Parking is limited, with nobody to guide cars. Management, please check the integrity of your front office staff.
