The location is the main draw, with the beach, restaurants, mini marts, laundry places, spas, and money changers all within walking distance. I stayed four days in a deluxe double in the older hotel compound. The room could use an update, but everything worked. I also liked the water refill fountains scattered around the property. With so many visitors in Bali, that small effort matters, and I went the whole stay without creating any mineral water bottle waste. Breakfast was just okay, with some fresh fruit and basic local and continental choices. Enough to fuel up. Good value for what you pay.

The bed was comfortable, with one large mattress for the king and no gap, and the pillows weren't too high. There are two pools, and the hotel has a modern design. A/C, kettle, TV, and fridge were in the room. Water dispensers are spread around the property, so refilling your bottle is easy. I wish more hotels did that. The bar nearby sends bass into the rooms, though, and the door also serves as a window. The hotel isn't right on the beach.

The grounds could use some care, especially clearing the weeds from between the paving stones, which would make a big difference to the appearance. Still, our room was clean and comfortable, and the location is excellent. Gunter was really helpful in making sure we got a quiet room. The staff were polite, and the pool temperature was great for swimming.

A quiet area helped make the nights restful, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The beach is about a five-minute walk away. I stayed a few nights and thought this was a good budget option. My room was clean and basic, with everything working as expected, and the staff were polite.

I found insects around the room, and the staff service was well below average. Be careful with the laundry service too: they shrunk our clothes and did nothing about it. Really not a great hotel.
