The cafe has a nice atmosphere and a more preserved theme than the other cafes around here. The coffee was balanced and good. Alternative milk options would be great. Friendly staff and a lovely mix of customers, so everyone feels comfortable. Nice!

A lovely spot to sit quietly and enjoy the atmosphere.

We stayed two nights in January during the wet season. The area was extremely quiet, and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The coffee shop had amazing views and lots of seating choices: indoors looking over the ravine, outside right by the edge, or farther back under the eaves. Soon after we sat down, my family spotted two monkeys far away in the valley. From our room we looked out over the road, with misty hills in the background. The room was basic but had what we needed, including a comfortable bed, TV and kettle. There was no air conditioning or fridge, but Bromo’s cool climate meant we didn’t really need either. The shower pressure was good and the water was lovely and hot when it ran, though the hot water could run out quickly. The cafe’s food and coffee were decent, but many ingredients were out of stock during our visit, which left a limited menu. We appreciated having an à la carte breakfast option and barista-made coffee when we asked. There weren’t many other places to eat nearby, but Bromo Escapes across the road had a good range of food. Before we arrived, we tried the number listed on Traveloka to arrange transport and a Bromo tour, but it wasn’t active, so we booked the tour elsewhere. They seemed to arrange tours once we were there, but should update their contact details for incoming guests.

The place is actually pretty comfortable, but the food wasn’t much to write home about and service was a bit slow. They didn’t provide tissues or soap in the toilet, so how were we supposed to wash our hands after eating? They also rent a few villa cabins.
